Silver Lining

I am looking at the person in the broken mirror

I’m looking at her and she’s looking through me

I can see her soul through the window pane

I see all the scars that remain

I see the tears trapped in between her eyes

I know the truths and all her lies

I see the hurt behind her pretty smile 

She’s been hiding it for quite a while

I see how hard that she tries to survive

I know sometimes she just wants to die 

End it all with suicide 

But don’t give up yet keep on trying 

Every cloud has a silver lining 

Everything happens in God's timing 

I know how crazy this life may seem 

But trust that God will set you free
