Lost

Shadows cling like chains of rust

Beneath the surface of broken trust

The scars run deep and the night is long

Lost in darkness I don't belong

I crawl through ashes cold and bare

With every breath a silent prayer

The weight of pain a crushing storm

Yet in this dark I am reborn

With no hope that wounds will heal

Just fading love I barely feel

 Still, I rise though worn and torn

 A rising bloom from soil that’s scorned
